"Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." Ralph Waldo Emerson

1,600-Acre Mountain Biking Paradise

First Snow Day at MSA in 2015! Genry Jefferson and Adam Cohen demonstrate how students sometimes learn more on a snow day.

One of the crown jewels of the MSA Endurance program is its playing field. During athletics, the basketball team heads to the court, the soccer team to the field, and the Endurance team to MSA's elaborate network of world-class mountain bike trails. With over 10-miles of purpose-built singetrack trails, riders can go for a full-on adventure without ever leaving campus. From wooden berms to flowing descents, there is an adventure waiting around every corner. Located in the rolling hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the campus trails offer challenging climbs and exhilerating descents.

Best of all, student-athletes are actively involved in the design and construction of new trails. The school owns a trail-specific Bobcat excavator, which allows coaches and students to create their dream trails quickly and efficiently. The school has ambitious plans for continued trail development.

To develop skills, MSA has a skills park that includes elevated ladder bridges, teeter-totters, log rides, and wooden berms. Built entirely by coaches and students, these features offer riders a chance hone their technical skills.
